Welcome to Disability Resources
Welcome to the Washington University Center for Advanced Learning Disability Resources (DR) in Cornerstone. DR is the official resource for students with disabilities and students with suspected disabilities at Washington University. DR assists students with disabilities by providing guidance and accommodations to ensure equal access to our campus, both physically and academically.
Some students come to college with a history of having received accommodations for a disability while others may not be diagnosed until after high school. Regardless, the University makes every effort to ensure that all students can take full advantage of the courses, programs, activities, and opportunities that our University offers.
Students seeking disability-related accommodations must use this official resource and are encouraged to contact DR on enrollment or once diagnosed. In contrast to high school students, college and graduate students are expected to self-identify themselves and to make specific requests for accommodations by notifying Disability Resources. Eligibility for accommodations is determined on an individual basis, must be supported by professional documentation, and may need to be renewed periodcally. DR will guide you through each step of this process, whether you are a prospective or current student, undergraduate or graduate.
As a current student, once you have registered for courses at Washington University, you are encouraged to discuss course requirements with your faculty and your academic advisor to develop strategies for success.
